BBB was increased in A53T larvae by high concentrations (5 or 10 mM) of L-DOPA exposure during the third instar (48 hours), but completely rescued when A53T larvae exposed to high concentrations of L-DOPA were treated with pramipexole (PRX, 0.4 mM).
