Fig. 4. Kv3.4 is expressed in 3 different types of nerve fibers in the organ of Corti. The tissue was immunolabeled with anti-Kv3.4 (n=10 cochlear preparations from 9 rats). Kv3.4 signal was found in radial fibers (1) projecting towards outer hair cells (OHC), spiral fibers traveling the basal pole of IHCs (2) and spiral fibers traveling near OHCs (3). Scale bar: 10 μm.
